Book lady at your service —
It’s no secret that we are HUGE book fans in our house — in fact, I have been a book lover since childhood. I think that it’s an adult’s duty to inspire a love of books in children. Whether that’s a parent, grandparent, teacher, or neighborhood librarian. We must ensure that our little ones are exposed to literature, poetry, stories, new words and pictures from a very young age.
But I get it — if you aren’t a book lover, it can be hard to start. If you’re expecting your first child, you’ll probably be given a book or two from THE LIST. You know, the list of super famous, mostly adorable children’s books that we all read as kids? Which is great. Don’t get me wrong. But we already read them, probably a million times, and while they are classics, if you get bored reading them to your little ones, your little one will sense it.
I am here to tell you, though, that you have options. As a first time parent, who also happens to love books and has way too many of them around the house, we want the best for our kids. I was handed down my old kids books, so there seemed to be no need for others. Only, I wanted to expose M to more than that. Especially as she progressed developmentally.
That’s when I discovered Usborne Books & More. M had just celebrated the bit O-N-E. The most important birthday to a new parent. And I quickly realized that we were running out of books that were new (to her). She was getting bored with the ones in rotation.
I was invited to an online book party, loved them, became a consultant and HERE WE ARE.
We love, love, love, love UBAM — all of their products are educational, creative, adorable and there hasn’t been one title to come through our house that M hasn’t enjoyed. The best part?
