Hi! I’m Cait, a full time workin’ eco-conscious modern mama, runner & book lover based in southern California. here is where, for many years, i would talk about slowing down and finding contentment. i’d be lying if i said that’s what i’ve been doing. somewhere along the way i lost sight of the goal. so here i am, circling back to find myself again - in motherhood, marriage and as a woman.

you’ll find honesty and transparency and an admittance that i don’t have it figured out, still drop the ball, and wake up some days just hoping i can finish my coffee while it’s hot (fellow no-microwave homes will get it).

you’ll find that i’m trying to bring back my handcrafted apothecary and some of my favorite and most used products for all stages of life.

Why “The Willow Field?”

Well, my middle name (also my mother's maiden name and the family name of my grandparents) is YANAGIHARA.  Y-a-n-a-g-i-h-a-r-a translated from Japanese is "willow field."
